The Internet Blues

CSP has been having an onslaught of Internet issues.
The past two weeks have been filled with inconsistent ability to go online.
This obviously causes issues with being able to see and/or submit assignments. The procrastinators are dying especially slow deaths.
For me, however, I am just realizing how boring life must have been prior to the Internet's invention. I mean, I guess I could have spent my time reading a book or something, but instead I sorrowfully stared at my ceiling while laying in bed. Really productive, eh?
But now, I can get back to blogging hopefully consistently.

Trevor is finally back from Iowa!
He was gone for a whole week.
I have no idea how we went so long last year without seeing each other.
I am so glad we live in the same city this year..
If only he had been here last week, I could have done homework at his apartment where there is semi-decent Internet!

Deuce & Pearl

Today Katie and I took the MetroTransit to CVS so I could pick up my prescription. We had made plans to then head to Wal-Mart afterward, but decided to explore the Green Line more before doing so.
This took us to Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis.
Talk about breathtaking!
I love the city!
I'm so glad I transferred here, just for days like today!

We walked around Nicollet Mall for a while and found a thousand books we wanted to purchase at the beautiful Barnes and Noble they have. We then headed to Caribou. I got an iced Pumpkin Chai Latte, delicious, and a toffee crunch blondie!

Then we headed back to the Green Line since she had bought her ticket and it expired soon.
The trip back to Hamline Ave station seemed much shorter than heading to Nicollet Mall.

Following this, we headed to the world's sketchiest Wal-Mart. Also. They didn't have any cacti. I am so disappointed.
We found the fish section and bought our babies.

I'm a Big Girl Now

I spent a lot of my days in high school yearning to be in college.
Now that I'm here, I'm ready to move on to the next step.
Isn't that just how life works?
We are seldom content with where we are at and continue to want more.

I'm not so sure I'm necessarily ready to be in a classroom of my own yet, that still seems quite frightening to me. However, I'm ready to be moved in with my soon-to-be husband. I love how that sounds :)

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy my roommates. I enjoy the apartment/dorm we're in. It's quite nice actually.
But I'm so ready to have an apartment of my own. One to share with Trevor. That we get to decorate together. And do awesome family-like things together all of the time.
Spending so much time together over the past summer has made me even more excited for our future together. So far our time in Saint Paul has helped the excitement grow even more than where it was at.
It amazes me that I can be so excited and yet so scared for the future, all at the same time.
I feel so adult-like and yet I just want to be a little kid again. How can those feelings exist simultaneously?

Well, regardless of my feelings, I'm nineteen. Almost twenty. I am an adult now.
In fact, speaking of adulthood...I have two job interviews over the next two days!

Here's to being a big girl! :)

Labor Day Ramblings

Ah, yes. The first holiday of the school year.
So no classes for me today.
I slept in until about 9:30, after being awoken by the alarm I forgot to switch off. Hated myself for that.

What better thing to do today than explore the city!
I feel a lot more comfortable on the metro now that I've taken it multiple times.
First I headed to the Capitol. It's beautiful, except for the fact that it's under construction.. That's rather unfortunate.
However, I did still get some cool shots from around there.

In the above photo, you see leaves. Yes it is an edited picture, but not those colors.. Sir, Ma'am. THOSE are leaves beginning to change!
It is September 1st, but I didn't expect to see changing leaves already!
I was so flabbergasted that I had to take a photo to show you all!

Anywho, then I walked around a bit and got back on the metro. This time I headed toward Minneapolis. I had yet to venture over yonder, but I did a little today. I didn't make it too far though because my phone was beginning to die.

In Minneapolis I stopped for some Caribou Coffee! I ordered an iced pumpkin chai latte. It was delightful!
One of my favorite parts of fall is all of the assorted pumpkin-flavored items!
Also, I loved Caribou's cups. "Life is a blank canvas."
What better way to start September than with that in mind!

I hope you all have enjoyed your holiday thus far.
Tootles from Saint Paul :)
