Wednesday

Originally I was going to post this Wednesday--but I remembered (at the last second) that it was WISE WEDNESDAY.
Oof, that was close!

Anywho.
Wednesday I went to the studio with Trevor for a while. He's working hard on his junior project, which is due Monday. I actually quite enjoy going to the studio with him because I get to see him doing stuff he really loves. And his finished product always amazes me. I am so blessed to have such a talented man in my life.

Not only did Trevor get a lot of work done, so did I!

I finished the first version of my outline for my paper in Lutheran Confessional Writings. As much as I dislike that class, I don't mind this paper. However, a full sentence outline sucks-regardless of the topic. I'll take another look at it sometime soon. It's due Monday..

The 1975

If you're snapchat friends with me, I apologize for the tremendously long my story from last night.
I just couldn't help it! I got to see The 1975 at the Myth in Maplewood!

Easily the best concert I have been to ever--no doubt.
Granted, I was sweaty, getting smushed, and hot the entire time, it was a blast.

If you ever get the chance to see them live-do it!
You won't be disappointed.
Their lights were spot on.
Their music, was even better live.

Matty is amazing. Drinking wine on stage. Looking fine as can be. Mmm.
He's a class act.

I am so glad they played 'Robbers'. It's my favorite of their songs! If you haven't heard it, go take a listen.
Also, highlights from the night:
-The encore chant of choice from the crowd, "WE WANT SEX!"
-Bitchy, hat girl as we called her.
-Not being able to understand anything Matty said due to a combination of his British accent and slurred speech (he was wasted).

1989: How You Get the Girl

Trevor got me Taylor Swift's new album, 1989.
Wow.
The best album ever.

My favorite song: How You Get the Girl.

It makes me dance around my room and not care if my door is open and my roommates are watching.
Talk about catchy!

Go listen if you haven't already! The whole album is absolutely amazing!

Christian Music

It's not too often I find myself obsessing over any Christian music.
I am unsure of why not, but I have found two songs recently that have really spoken to me.

Oceans (Where Feet may Fall) by Hillsong United
I cried while singing this song during church today. It just really spoke to me, to the point of letting it out. Letting myself go.

You Make Me Brave by Bethel Music, Amanda Cook
I heard this song a few times over the summer at Trevor's church. It's one of those really catchy songs with an amazing message. Once again, a song I can let myself fully give myself to God during.

Go take a listen. Maybe even take the few minutes of listening to them in prayer. Meditate. Whatever you need for your time with God. These are two great songs to spend time with Him during.

4th of July

This was the first 4th of July that Trevor and I spent together!
We spent a lot of time together before going downtown. We ended up ordering Pizza Ranch and picking up our delicious combo (half Chicken Bacon Ranch [extra chicken/extra ranch]+ pepperoni and half Pepperoni and Green Olives along with an order of mashed potatoes and gravy and a 2-liter bottle of Barq's root beer!)
It was a terrific lunch, of course!
We then headed down to the City Deck to look at a few of the local bands that were playing. Trevor knew a lot of the guys in the bands so we shot a lot of pictures of many of the bands. While it was quite fun, my knee disagreed due to the large amount of walking we did over the course of the evening.

Our first 4th of July <3

Faithfully

I love that my boyfriend is such a music nerd. Well sometimes it actually bothers me a bit to be completely honest. But for the most part, I love that.

Get back from Walmart and hear a song on the radio? He sits down to figure out how to play it on the keyboard and sings to me. Then transitions into playing Faithfully by Journey. My favorite song. 

That's one of my favorite things that he does for me, plays that song when we're at his house.

Summerfest

Early last week a friend from Pizza Ranch posted on Facebook about having two tickets for Bruno Mars at Summerfest for $80. The tickets were originally priced at about $81 a piece, we got both for $80!
This was my first time at Summerfest, but luckily, Trevor knew his way around since he played there a few years ago with Tomorrow's Yesterday.
I left nannying around 1 and we finally got on the road at about 2. By the time we got parked and got through the gates it was about 4:30, not too bad for time.
We walked around and enjoyed the cold and brisk day together.
Around 7:15 we headed to the amphitheater and began making our way to our bleacher seats.
Aloe Blacc(known for The Man and vocals on Avicii's Don't Wake Me Up) opened for Bruno Mars.

As you can see we were pretty far back from the show. Sadly, for Aloe Blacc they didn't use cameras so we couldn't really see anything he was doing. 

Bruno Mars was beyond amazing. He has such an awesome band that does some rockin' choreography.
I was so lucky to be able to go see this concert with my honey.

We even both rocked our Converse, without any planning!
